The HSE Program provides classes and tutoring to students preparing to take the GED or HiSET exams.
There is a $10 registration fee per term.
How to Apply
New Students
New students (or students that have been out of the program for one year) must attend a virtual orientation. Once orientation is complete, each student will receive a link to apply for admission. Additional steps will be included in the orientation presentation and in the admissions letter. Please fill out our High School Equivalency (HSE), GED in Spanish, or English as a Second Language (ESL) Orientation Form to register for an orientation.
Continuing Students
Continuing students will work with their instructors to determine their next courses.
Note: If you're 16 or 17 years old, you must provide the Underage Permission Form in order to proceed to registration.
The CNM ABE Program has laptops available for loan to ABE students. We are excited to provide this opportunity to support your educational endeavors. If you need to borrow a laptop, please click the button below, then enter your CNM log-in credentials to complete the form:
If you have questions, please contact us by phone (505) 224-4282 or email us at SageAbeStaff@cnm.edu.
The ABE Program
The ABE Program exists to help you identify and achieve basic educational goals. To do that, we offer affordable, non-credit classes in basic reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and English as a Second Language. These classes can help you prepare for higher education, job advancement, and personal fulfillment.
Our program acknowledges and utilizes the experience, wisdom, and needs of adult learners to provide a pathway that can lead to success in college, careers, and the community. Our mission emphasizes educational and intellectual growth, affordability and accessibility, and the potential for positive life changes for you.
The ABE program is a separate non-college credit component of CNM. You will receive the same services and benefits as other CNM students. However, ABE students do not follow the traditional admission or registration process and are not eligible for financial aid.
There is a $10 registration fee per term.
