Welcome to the New cnm.edu!

This new cnm.edu website you're seeing today was designed with input from more than 2,000 CNM students, employees and community members. Some of the primary goals were to make the site easier to navigate and understand, and to get website visitors like you to the information you're seeking as quickly as possible. CNM hopes the new cnm.edu provides you with a pleasant website experience.

Some of the new features of the site will include:

  • A much-improved search engine.
  • A new Content Management System (CMS), which is a free, open-source CMS called Plone. It’s the same CMS used by the City of Albuquerque and Albuquerque Public Schools.
  • As a free and open-source CMS, CNM will not need to pay contract or software fees.
  • The new CMS meets modern Web and usability standards, including ADA requirements, security needs, multi-browser support and RSS standards.
  • The new site has a “Most Popular Now” section, which will automatically reveal the most visited pages on cnm.edu. This will help many visitors find popular seasonal content even more quickly.
  • A new “Community Photo Pool” powered by Flickr allows CNM students, employees or community members to submit photos to be considered for the pool – some will be featured on the home page.

After launch, improvements will continue to be made as feedback and user-testing results are evaluated.
