Faculty Volunteers Needed for College Accreditation Committee Sub-Teams

December 05, 2019

The College Accreditation Committee, which is responsible for overseeing the submission of materials for reaffirmation of accreditation, is looking for interested faculty to serve on criterion sub-teams. The sub-team members will help identify key college processes that show how and why CNM is meeting the criteria outlined for accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

When you serve on the sub-teams you will:

—Gain a better understanding of how accreditation both reflects and impacts you and your classes

—Contribute to promoting and improving educational quality at CNM through accreditation process

—Learn about innovative ways the college measures programmatic and collegiate success and apply them to your own practices

—Make new connections and work with various stakeholders across the entire college community

Teams will meet monthly during the Spring 2020 term and then less frequently until Spring 2023 when we begin to prepare for the HLC site visit. Faculty are needed to serve on the following teams:

Criterion 1: Mission

Criterion 2: Integrity: ethical and responsible conduct

Criterion 5: Resources and Planning

More information on the criterion for accreditation can be found on the HLC website. For questions or to express interest in serving please contact kferris@cnm.edu
