This week’s Values Champion is being recognized for going above and beyond, time and again. She does exceptional work at her own job, but is also the first to volunteer when anyone on her team needs help. She immediately picks up extra work whenever a co-worker is out because she wants to ensure students are served and that the staff member doesn’t fall behind.

Her nominator writes: “This person helped me tremendously when I was in the hospital for a week last year and subsequently out for another two weeks. She graciously took all my appointments on my calendar, processed my files, and completed anything I had outstanding.  She did this on her own before we all realized how long I would be out and management divided my work more evenly among the other staff.”

Outside of her normal duties, this week’s nominee is also being recognized for always finding a way to make her co-workers feel special on their birthdays and for organizing office events on special occasions.

Her nominator writes: “She always pitches in more than her fair share and brings the best food to potlucks. I can't praise her enough! I'm blessed to work with her and want to recognize her for being truly exceptional.”

Nominated by Mialma Gallegos, this week’s Values Champion is Victoria Martinez in Financial Aid.
