The schools signed a Memorandum of Understanding to open the 11-year-old competition to CNM students for the first time.

Participants include students from CNM's Deep Dive Coding Bootcamp, the IGNITE Community Accelerator and Entrepreneurial Mindset program who are striving to create new startups in New Mexico with high-growth potential. It will also provide student competitors with valuable entrepreneurial skills that can be applied in their own business or at their place of employment.

The UNM Business Plan Competition was started by Dr. Kassicieh of UNM 11 years ago. He says joining with CNM is a win-win for New Mexico and the students at both schools.
