Fred Hawker Scholarship Endowment

The Fred Hawker Scholarship Endowment is a tribute created by his children in 2009 to honor Fred’s legacy of providing opportunities to students at CNM. After serving in the Air Force, Fred attended both the University of Albuquerque and the University of New Mexico as a part-time student, balancing work, family and school. In 1989, he began teaching at CNM (then-TVI), which remained one of his greatest joys in life. Fred truly created a lasting impact with his belief in the ability of all of his students. His honorary scholarship provides assistance to students in CNM’s School of Business & Information Technology.

The CNM Foundation, in honor of the College’s 50th Anniversary, is seeking 50 new or increased scholarship endowments to continue our efforts to provide financial assistance to students so they can obtain the quality educational opportunities they deserve. Please join us in supporting a scholarship today.

If you wish to make a contribution directly to this fund, or for a full list of endowments, please contact the CNM Foundation at (505) 224-4685.
