Denise Ojeda: 2015-16 Distinguished Faculty Member Award Winner

Ms. Ojeda is a remarkable full-time faculty member in the School of Applied Technologies who always has her students’ best interests at heart. She actively seeks out new and improved ways of delivering her curriculum.

She has partnered with faculty to develop and implement collaborative instructional activities and has worked with advisement and achievement coaches in the School of Applied Technologies on a project that combines technical skills and soft skills required for maintaining employment. Ms. Ojeda is also a basic-skills instructor in the I-BEST program where she works together with a career-technical instructor to help students get the basic skills they need in Math, Reading or English, which significantly increases the number of graduates from the Applied Technologies programs.

Ms. Ojeda participates in community projects, like the Little Bear Project in Ruidoso, as well as working with CNM’s SkillsUSA chapter.  She is the first to raise her hand when the call goes out for assistance on teams or other projects.  She is a valued asset to Applied Technologies and to CNM.
