“We did this for two reasons," said CNM Vice President for Academic Affairs Sydney Gunthorpe. "First, we were looking for a team-building activity for Deans Council. We wanted to do something together. Second, we wanted to contribute to the vision of the College --  Changing Lives, Building Community -- in a new way. This was an effort to get more involved with the community. Deans Council has made a commitment to do at least one community event each semester."

The Deans Council members donned white aprons and gloves, went to their stations in the kitchen and prepared beef and chicken fajitas, tossed salad and Spanish rice, as well as brownies and strawberry for dessert. Directing the meal preparation was Chef Scott Clapp, chef in the Culinary Arts Program.
