CNM, UNM to Sponsor Spring Behavioral Health Speakers Series

January 15, 2015 -- CNM and UNM are joining up to present a Spring Behavioral Health Speakers Series.

Behavioral (mental) health is defined as how a person thinks, feels and acts when faced with life’s situations. It is how people see themselves, their lives and other people in their lives. It is how they evaluate their challenges, problems and explore their choices. Speakers, topics, dates and locations include:

  • “When is Anxiety a Problem?” Molly Faulkner, Ph.D., Jan. 29, noon, Montoya Campus, H Building, Room 126
  • “How to Improve Your Baby’s Mental Health,”Anilla Del Fabbro, M.D. and Paula Marechal, LISW, IMH-E, Feb. 26, 6 p.m., South Valley Campus, Room SV 10. The lecture at the South Valley Campus will be in Spanish and English.
  • “The Difference Between Sadness and Depression,” Brant Hager, M.D., March 26, 6 p.m. Westside Campus, WSII, Room 115
  • “What Is Schizophrenia?” Stephen Lewis, M.D., April 30, noon, Montoya Campus, H Building, Room 126
