“We will have a booth with information that tells students and families what CNM has to offer to the community,” said Magda Martinez, director of CNM’s TRIO Student Support Services.

Other large organizations to be represented at the Community Resource Fair will be UNM and APS, along with many smaller groups.

The goal of the Community Resource Fair is to provide bilingual information regarding education, health and career opportunities to community members through a number of interactive and informational resource tables from local businesses, health providers and other community organizations. The event is free and open to the entire community.

Over 300 people attended the Community Resource Fair in August 2015 and expressed their appreciation for being able to access information for health, education and career needs in one location.

The Unidos Project began as one of 13 projects in 11 states nationwide selected as a recipient of the Lumina Latino Student Success Initiative Grant. The initiative started out as a partnership between APS, CNM, UNM and YDI and has expanded to include over 80 partners.
