A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is an exciting and rewarding career, with opportunities for employment in a variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care and outpatient facilities. PTAs provide care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to restore function to individuals affected by disease or disability. This in-demand profession is well-suited to students with a strong academic background and the desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

The program is six semesters and culminates in an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. Graduates will be prepared to take the National Licensing Examination, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, which is required to practice in all states.
