CNM Health Center Changing Its Operations

The CNM Health Center that’s located in the Student Services Center on Main Campus will no longer perform medical procedures and medical consultations after Oct. 30. CNM will continue to provide mental health counseling in the same location.

Due to CNM’s budget conditions, the Health Center’s operations as they exist now are financially unsustainable for the college.

CNM has been the only community college in the state with a health center. The college will be moving toward a model that is more in line with best practices at other community colleges around the country.

Although the medical procedures and consultations will no longer be available, CNM will continue to have CNM staff and professional clinicians from Samaritan Counseling Center on site to serve students in need of mental health counseling. CNM will also provide referrals to students seeking information on the Affordable Care Act and other basic medical services.

CNM’s Veterans Success Center will also be located in the Health Center space.

If you have received medical services from the CNM Health Center in the past, you can request medical records by contacting Marti Brittenham at 224-3000, Ext. 51668 until December 18, 2015. Beginning in January, all requests should be sent to

The workout equipment next to the Health Center will remain in its current location.
