CNM Distance Learning Specialist Jessica Rosazza-Williams to Present Blackboard Webinar

April 2, 2014 -- CNM Distance Learning Specialist Jessica Rosazza-Williams has been selected by Blackboard to present a webinar April 7 on “Creating Your Blackboard Course: A 3 Step Approach” for their Blackboard Innovative Teaching Series. The webinar will be live from 11 a.m. to noon and will consist of a PowerPoint presentation, video and voice overs.
July 16, 2015

Rosazza-Williams was selected to give the webinar because of a class she taught last year, TLOL 1010: Teaching and Learning online, which won a Blackboard Exemplary Course Award. The course instructs faculty how to teach on line. The Distance Learning Department developed the curriculum for the course and submitted it to Blackboard to be considered for the award. During the webinar, Rosazza-Williams will discuss simple ways in which faculty can easily transform their empty Blackboard shells into a student-centered environment. This process involves identifying course tools, organizing the course menu and standardizing learning module formats. The webinar is part of a spring Blackboard Innovative Teaching Series.

Rosazza-Williams received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Mexico in Art History, with a minor in Religious Studies, and my Master's Degree in Art History from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Since completing her Master's degree, much of her time has been devoted helping educators enhance their teaching experiences using digital media and online learning management systems. Currently, Jessica serves as a Distance Learning Specialist and part-time faculty member at CNM.
