2019 W-2 Forms Available Electronically; Print Versions Have been Mailed

January 30, 2020

Employees who consented to receive their W-2s electronically can view their W-2 online now in myCNM. Employees who did not consent to receive them online will receive a paper copy via U.S. postal mail – they were mailed out on Jan. 28. Employees who did not opt to receive their W-2 electronically can still log into myCNM, go to the Employee Tab, then Tax Forms under My Records, and select the Electronic Regulatory Consent link. By doing this, you will have immediate access to your W-2.

If you chose to receive an electronic W-2, here is some information you need to know:

  • W-2 forms can be viewed in myCNM on the Employee Tab under the Tax Forms link.
  • The initial view of the W-2 truncates the employee’s SSN. When the employee selects the “Print” function, they will be prompted to enter their myCNM password again. Once they enter their password, a printable W-2 will appear. This form will include their SSN.

An employee’s year-to-date pay information, found on their last paystub of 2019, may not match Box 1, 3, 5 or 16 on their W-2. This does not mean that the W-2 is incorrect. The difference in these amounts is due to the employee’s pretax deductions and/or Educational Retirement Board (ERB) and annuity contributions.
