CNM Celebrates Women in Non-Traditional Careers

March 21, 2013 -- The CNM Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges will celebrate the outstanding female students pursuing degrees in careers typically dominated by males at the annual Awards for Women in Non-Traditional Careers, which will be held Tuesday, March 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Main Campus in the Student Resource Center.

The event is open to the CNM community and the general public. The awards are designed to acknowledge the successes of female students or instructors excelling in non-traditional program areas. Paula Fisher, retired electrician and founder of the Women in Non-Traditional Careers group at CNM, and Carol Wight, entrepreneur, advocate and author, will be the keynote speakers.
