BIT Graduates First Retail Management Certificate Class

December 13, 2017 -- Thirteen Albertsons employees were the first graduates of the Retail Management Certificate Fast Track program offered by CNM’s School of Business & Information Technology (BIT). A small graduation event was attended by students, BIT staff and Albertsons managers at the CNM Montoya Campus last week.

Students earned a certificate in Retail Management during the 18-month program. The certificate may be applied to an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration at CNM and may transfer into degree programs at other institutions.

The students met Thursday nights at the Montoya Campus, taking one course every seven weeks. They earned 24 credit hours. The students hold various positions at Albertsons stores, including general managers, butchers, customer service representatives, bakers and more. Many are striving to go into general store management or obtain district management positions.

The graduates include Nicole Cook, Jennifer Cowart, Cynthia Falla, Peter Falla, David Inman, Shawna Jinzo, Leroy Lucero, Renee Montoya, Valerie Montoya, Larry Moore, Eric Quillman, Tabitha Saenz, and Leena Sanchez.
