Campus Safety and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

September is Campus Safety and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The Security Department and Student Life will be hosting a number of activities during September to bring attention to safety on campus and services available for suicide prevention.

VIN Etching Event

Have you etched your Vehicle Identification Number onto your car? Etching your VIN on your vehicle is one of the best ways to help avoid car theft. APD will be on campus providing this free service to the CNM Community.

Active Shooter Awareness Training

The Active Shooter training focuses on Situational Awareness; Mindset of an Active Shooter; the practice of Run, Hide or Fight; and Law Enforcement Response. The training concludes with a practical exercise, and is open to all students and employees.

The Lifesavers training is provided by Albuquerque Fire Rescue and the CNM Security Department and is open to all students and employees. The training teaches participants how to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
